Modern Craft, Rooted in Tradition

A residential interior at Atharva Skyz, Ahmedabad. The brief called for an authentic blend of modern design and timeless craft — contemporary lines married to a distinctly Indian sensibility. Spanning ~1,300 sq.ft. of carpet area, the layout is designed for space and calm, with each room given room to breathe. Textured surfaces, warm wood tones, and traditional detailing run through the material palette, balanced by clean modern joinery and layered lighting. Every day-to-day detail — storage, ergonomics, circulation — is quietly considered, so the space feels as effortless to live in as it is to look at.

The living, dining, and kitchen open into one another as a single connected zone — anchored by a bespoke kitchen island, softened by a jaali-inspired wooden screen that filters light and views between spaces. Warm timber, textured surfaces, and considered accents in red and terracotta carry the Indian sensibility, while clean joinery and layered ceiling coves keep the language modern.
